Intro

The former monastery dating from 1185, centrally situated between Zurich, Zug, and Lucerne, offers a magnificent view of the alps. It was completely refurbished in 2012 with a focus on preserving the historic building style. 76 functional rooms, all with private shower/WC. Numerous utility rooms, and ample space to retreat to a quiet corner within the large compound. The impressive Klosterkeller restaurant and cosy monastery café with panorama terrace offer homemade specialities, freshly prepared by the kitchen team.

Seminar Hotel

The former Cistercian monastery with large Gothic monastery church was the birthplace of the Swiss Reformation. The century-old monastery walls and garden are an inspirational environment. The 18 seminar rooms – from historic to modern – are the perfect choice for workshops, seminars and meditation weekends. Numerous cultural events, exhibitions, and courses.

Kloster Kappel is a seminar hotel and house of education of the Evang.-ref. Landeskirche of Zurich. The hotel disposes 76 hotel rooms and a total of 18 seminar and meeting rooms. There are times where retreat is the only right thing to do. Some places are created for that. A bit off the beaten track, but not lonesome. Reduced to the essential, but not vain. Kloster Kappel is such a place. Here the heart beats a different drum. The power of historic walls joins modern hospitality. A place to respire – for groups and individual guests.
