Together with diverse partners from the tourism and hotel branches, eastern Switzerland’s “Textilland Ostschweiz” association offers a wealth of ways in which the public can experience the cultural heritage and valued know-how of Switzerland’s textile industry up close.
A journey back in time to St. Gallen’s textile museum - or a visit to the Neuthal spinning mill to view the birth of garn on historic machines are just two ways of delving into the history of fabrics – and numerous additional experience worlds provide a live introduction to the cultural past as you trace back fascinating textile footprints.
