A visit to Lugano's parks and gardens
Overview
Intro
Did you know that Lugano boasts a unique Mediterranean-style climate that allows olive trees, cork oaks and palm trees to flourish side-by-side?
A stroll through Lugano’s parks and gardens offers visitors a chance to enjoy the city’s lush greenery, and discover exotic plants and flowers as well as local varieties. The walk begins at the church of Santa Maria degli Angioli, leads through the Belvedere gardens and ends in the Parco Civico-Ciani, the city’s largest park and one of the most important in the whole of Switzerland.
On one of Ticino’s many gloriously sunny days, nothing beats exploring Lugano’s parks and gardens, ice cream in hand, while enjoying the breathtaking scenery and the delightful Mediterranean climate
