Three Lakes Cruise Lake Biel
Overview
Intro
Exploring the Lake District from its waterways: On this audio tour, passengers experience the Three Lakes Region with all senses.
The Three Lakes Region is a picturesque landscape of gentle hills. Lovely, cultivated stretches of land showing vineyards and vegetable crops alternate with near-natural, pristine, environmentally protected areas. Imbedded in this charming area lie the three large lakes of Jura: Lakes Biel, Neuchâtel and Murten. The channels Broye and Zihl as well as the Aare River link the lakes and create a unique waterway.
The two-and-a-half-hour Aare cruise from Solothurn to Biel or vice versa leads past Altreu with its famous stork settlement and the medieval village Büren. The region can best be explored during the classic among cruises, the Three Lakes Cruise from Biel via Erlach to Murten or vice versa.
