Discover the mysterious stalactite caverns near Baar. These impressive stalactite caves were formed in the heart of the wild and romantic Lorze ravine.
Formed over thousands of years by calciferous springs, Baar’s Höllgrotten caves in were discovered while mining for tuff stone at the end of the 19th century. Under expert guidance, visitors explore the spectacular dripstone caves filled with stalagmites and stalactites in a variety of hues, lending each cave its own unique character. This magical underground world is lit by electricity, and the caves are well connected to one another by paths.
