As one of the few museums in Europe dedicated to this art form, the paper mill preserves historical techniques at an authentic site. Participants are shown these traditional techniques and given the opportunity to have a go at making paper and printing themselves.
Basel Paper Mill: something is always on the go in this museum. This can be taken quite literally. Visitors can get involved and make their own paper, write using goose feathers, create a wax seal or observe the casting of letters. It is sure to be a fun and interesting experience for all, especially as a hands-on approach is expressly encouraged.
