Intro

After a snack of down-to-earth fare, Franz Toni initiates his Rigi guests into the secrets of cheesemaking. Participants get to make authentic Rigi alpine cheese under expert guidance. In the evening, the guests enjoy a rustic alpine barbecue near the mountain hut. The next morning, the enterprising spirits wake to a generous alpine breakfast.

Includes:

  • Ascent and descent by regular service train (as far as Rigi Kulm, departing from Rigi Staffel)
  • The opportunity to make cheese or butter
  • Alpine barbecue with salad buffet
  • Overnight stay in the hay (bring your own sleeping bag)
  • Alpine breakfast
  • Guests will be picked up at Rigi Kulm and looked after from there

The milk for the cheese is produced on the alpine pastures, and the finished product (cheese) then finds its way down into the valley. For groups of 10 or more. The activity is also available without an overnight stay. Arrival and departure is covered by the Swiss Travel Pass.
