Intro

How many destinations can boast guaranteed snow year-round? Apart from the breathtaking alpine scenery, Glacier 3000 has lots more in store: renowned architecture, Instagramable photo spots, and unique thrills…

Venue

The mountain station located at 3,000 metres above sea level was designed by the famous Swiss architect Mario Botta. The infrastructure of the restaurant on the fourth floor has been especially designed for events such as evening programmes, product launches, press conferences or incentives programs. It is possible to book the entire restaurant or only a part of it. The self-service-restaurant is on the 3rd floor. A sun terrace (2nd floor) with catered snack bar beckons you to while away some time. The Alpine Coaster, the world’s highest toboggan run, offers fun for the young and young at heart. In a few steps you can reach the view point, which is easy to climb. From here, visitors have a marvellous view of the most beautiful Alpine peaks (Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau, Matterhorn). Another activity is a safe walk across the glacial plateau to the breathtaking "Quille du Diable" (sled-dog rides in winter, snow-bus in summer).

Within just 15 minutes, you will get whisked from the valley floor to 3k altitudes – no switching required. At the top, you will surely notice the summit station designed by Swiss architect Mario Botta. The various look-out points at Glacier 3000 offer panoramic views of two dozen snow-capped peaks above 4000 meters of altitude: Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau, the Matterhorn, Grand Combin, and even Mont Blanc in the far distance.

Just outside the cable car station is the Peak Walk by Tissot, the world’s first suspension footbridge spanning two summits. Do you have the courage to walk across for bragging rights? Next, claim a seat on the Alpine Coaster and slide down an outdoor track. At the bottom, another highlight awaits: sledge dogs waiting to give you a ride across the glacier…

As you can tell, Glacier 3000 offers a fun and memorable excursion to the Swiss Alps. It is easy to reach for anyone, especially those staying in nearby places such as Gstaad or Montreux. Regular bus services ensure that you will smoothly get to the top and back to your home base.
