Guided tour: Witches, Murderers, Harlots and Arsonists
Overview
Intro
About 600 years ago, Baden was a shining seat of the Tagsatzungsort. In addition to the prestigious political events, however, countless sinister machinations were afoot. On this tour, the dark secrets of the city are revealed.
In the Middle Ages, a human life was often not worth much and the right to "liberty, equality and fraternity" was by no means enshrined in law. Witches, murderers, prostitutes and arsonists were sentenced and executed - sometimes with cruel methods.
The old prison cells in the city tower, the landmark of Baden, and other gruesome places are visited. In addition, the unbelievable, even frightening texts of the "Baden Death Books" are read aloud. A tour for all with strong nerves!
Highlight: Scary stories and visit to the old prison cell in the city tower.
