The Safran Zunft restaurant has many generations of influential spice traders and grocers, who’ve been meeting up here since the 14th century, to thank for its magnificent rooms. Despite this momentous heritage, the restaurant is not a bit old-fashioned. The cooking is modern and the service is refreshingly friendly.
Its origins date back to a medieval guild of spice traders, whose social life is still strongly linked to the locality today. And spices continue to play a major role in the restaurant’s fresh, regional cuisine. The historical Guild Hall is also an ideal venue for festive gala dinners, cocktail parties and receptions for up to 500 people.
