Introducción
The family-owned firm of Hongler has been manufacturing candles since 1703. During a visit to the candle factory in Altstätten visitors will learn a whole range of interesting facts about candlelight.
Guided tours of the factory are offered for groups of ten persons or more. A brief presentation provides the visitor with an insight into history of the candle. A tour through the production process will enable the visitor to see how a candle is created out of wax and wick. The shop contains a wide range of candles in numerous colours and shapes. There might also be a little time left to round off the excursion with a relaxing cup of coffee.
In November and December public guided tours are also offered on Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm (on the hour, every hour).

For parents with children there's the option of taking part in a guided tour at 2 pm in the afternoon on Wednesdays. Afterwards, if they want to, visitors can adorn their own candles with wax ornaments under professional guidance.
