Our mountain railways are open 365 days a year so that you can enjoy the panorama and the fresh air at any time of the year. Public transport in the area can be used free of charge all year round. From the end of June to the end of October, the MyExplorerCard allows you to use the mountain railways free of charge, even if you are staying at the hotel for just one night. Crans-Montana has been a tourist resort since 1893 and over the years has developed into a modern destination that focuses on sustainability. This applies to water treatment, electricity production, the preservation of natural spaces, resource and waste management, and the expansion of economic and social activities. The municipality of Crans-Montana received the ‘Cité de l'Energie’ certificate in 2008 and has improved its rating at every evaluation, i.e. every 4 years. In the summer of 2020, the Crans-Montana-Aminona ski resort launched the Swiss Green Alps foundation, which is recognised as a charitable foundation, with the aim of protecting our environment and raising awareness in our community.
