Inleiding

Het slot Wartegg werd in 1557 boven de zuidelijke oever van het Bodenmeer gebouwd. Rond 1960 viel het refugium van keizerin Zita in een doornroosjesslaap. In 1994 werd het slot cultureel weer tot leven gewekt en behoedzaam verbouwd tot elegant hotel. Uniek is ook de kasteeltuin met oude voedingsgewassen (ProSpecieRara), die veelal uit oude boerentuinen afkomstig zijn - en het samenspel met de uitstekende Slow Food keuken met seizoensgebonden, verse ingrediënten.

Schloss Wartegg, a castle which has been restored according to modern ecological building standards, looks back on an eventful 450-year history. The castle is located in a park of national importance. The restaurant offers exquisite, seasonal "slow food" dishes with many fresh products from the castle’s own organic garden. The various rooms and large park provide the perfect setting for successful seminars, workshops and events.

Swiss Historic Hotel

Historisch renaissancepaleis uit 1860 in een Engels landschapspark. De zichtbare stijlelementen stammen uit de 19e en 20e eeuw, dakconstructies, muren en vensterstructuren uit de betreffende bouwperiode. Het bijou "Türkises Bad", de concentratie op het wezenlijke, de traditionele materialen en de plantentuin met ProSpecieRara-soorten kenmerken de historische ambiance.
