Introdução

In Zurich’s first city dairy, visitors gain an insight into this fascinating craft and even get to make their own Swiss cheese.

The workshop begins with the budding cheesemakers enjoying a lovely cheese platter with white wine, beer or water. Then it’s time to get to work: under the guidance of a cheese master, the group will make their own Mutschli cheese, which will then need to mature for two to three months under the watchful eye of the cheesemaker. Rounding off the experience, each guest will be offered an alcoholic or virgin drink made from the by-product of whey.

This cheese masterclass is great combined with dinner in the Restaurant Werkstatt, which promises a veritable feast of Tavolata sharing dishes.
