Only 10 minutes on foot west of the city centre, the Kreuzbleichepark infuses St.Gallen with a cosmopolitan air thanks to its colourful bustle. Here, surrounded by chestnut trees, lies the Militärkantine, a unique timber-framed building that was built as officer’s quarters in 1900 and today is a listed heritage building. The 21 spacious rooms with oriels, balcony and claw-foot bathtubs invite you to stay and relax. The hotel is easily accessible by bus and car and a large car park is available in front of the hotel. The two halls, the 110m2 historical hall and the 70m2 original kitchen can be hired for celebrations, business meetings and banquets. Your culinary needs are taken care of with daily fresh dishes from the hotel’s own restaurant.

Thank you for booking The military canteen is a 10-minute walk from the train station. If you are travelling by public transport, let us know: We will be happy to send you the free Mobility Card for the city of St. Gallen by e-mail. The rooms are ready for occupancy from 3 p.m. If you arrive earlier, you can leave your luggage with us and we will put it in your room. If you check in later than 6 p.m., we kindly ask you to inform us of the arrival time. The reception is open until 11 pm; Check out is until 11 am. If there is no other way and you have to cancel, you can do so free of charge up to 48 hours before arrival. After that, we charge the full price for the first night. Have a good journey and if you want to know anything else: Just give us a call! We look forward to welcoming you soon to your military canteen
