イタリア国境へのびる谷奥にある小さなミュスタイア村の修道院が世界遺産に選ばれています。8世紀にカール大帝（シャルルマーニュ）の命を受けたクール司教によって建てられ、9世紀にベネディクト派の宗教施設、12世紀から女子修道院となったもので、外からみると質素な建物ですが、20世紀におこなわれた付属教会の改修工事の際に、壁画の下からさらに古い時代の壁画が発見されて一躍注目を集めました。

インターラーケンのハーダー山頂から、眼下に美しいブリエンツ湖、トゥーン湖とインターラーケンの町、正面にはアイガー、メンヒ、ユングフラウの3名山を含むアルプスの山々の眺望が広がる人気の展望台。レストランがあり、ケーブルカーで約10分で結ぶ、時間がない方でも気軽に楽しめる絶景スポットです。

Neuenburg Castle and the collegiate church have shaped the townscape of Neuenburg since the 12th century. The architecturally striking building complex is enthroned on a rocky outcrop above the city.

グリュイエールの高台にある中世の古城。13〜16世紀の間に19人の伯爵が居城としてきた由緒あるもの。13世紀の広間や塔、16世紀ルネサンス様式の主館、17、18世紀のバロック装飾など、往時の輝かしい歴史を今に伝える遺産です。アルプス地方の山々に囲まれた丘にたたずむ、そのロケーションから絵になる古城としても知られています。シオン城に次いでスイスで二番目に訪問客の多い人気の古城です。

クール旧市街のマルティン広場に建つ、鐘楼が印象的なプロテスタント教会。8世紀に創建され、トゥールの聖人マルティヌス（独語で聖マルティン）から名付けられました。現在残る建物は、1464年の大火で大破し、再建されたもので、グラウビュンデン州に残る最大の後期ゴシック建築です。アウグスト・ジャコメッティのステンドグラスも必見。

ブレゲ、ブランパン、オメガ、ロンジン、ラドー、ティソ、ハミルトンなどの数々の有名ブランドを持つ「スウォッチ・グループ」が、本社がある時計製造の中心地ビール／ビエンヌに新しく、世界的に有名な建築家でプリツカー賞を受賞した坂茂氏の設計でつくられた時計の殿堂。スイス時計の世界を広く伝えるウォッチセンターが誕生しました。

中世からの歴史を誇る有名なグリュイエール・チーズの産地のひとつ。グリュイエール村の郊外にあるモレゾン山では、山上の険しい草地に牛たちを放牧し、しぼりたてのミルクをつかってアルプでつくるチーズづくりの伝統が今に受け継がれています。 標高1132m、モレゾン山にある1686年に建てられたという山小屋では、薪で火を燃やし大きな鍋を使っておこなう昔ながらのチーズづくりを見学することができます。

アイガー、メンヒ、ユングフラウを望むトゥーン湖南岸に建つ古城。1846年から1854年にかけて、ヌーシャテルの銀行家ドゥニ・アルフレッド・ド・ルージュモンの依頼で建てられた夏の別荘で、現在は歴史を今に伝えるホテル・レストランになっています。日本・スイス国交樹立後に日本からスイスへの最初の公式訪問となった1867年の徳川昭武使節団で渋沢栄一たちが招待され、ユングフラウの眺望を楽しんだというトゥーン湖畔の富豪の邸宅というのがこの城でした。

有名な温泉地バート・ラガッツの源泉となる険しい峡谷。その癒しの力は古くから知られており、昼間でもほとんど日がささないような切り立った渓谷に、治療のために多くの人が訪れました。

中世初期から城塞が存在していたと考えられている歴史的な場所にある古城。現在も残る城の建物は、13世紀頃の城塞跡に建てられ、14世紀頃からロカルノを含めたマッジョーレ湖周辺まで勢力をのばしていたミラノのヴィスコンティ家によって所有された由緒あるもの。有名な国際条約「ロカルノ条約」が締結されたロカルノ会議が開かれた場所としても世界的に知られています。
